My chiropractic story: “Even as a young child and teenager it never made sense to me that it was “normal” to get sick or that medications were the only answer for illness. In high school I began reading about the different healthcare professions that I might be interested in pursuing. It was then I discovered chiropractic. After reading about the philosophy and science of chiropractic I began to understand that the body is self healing and self regulating. It was then I decided, and never wavered on my intent to become a chiropractor. I began seeing that in order for our bodies to express optimal health it requires a healthy environment, both inside and out. I have now had the opportunity to serve thousands of women, men, babies, and children through natural chiropractic care. I am so blessed to witness people of all ages experience true health and wellbeing through chiropractic care and the tenants of wellness that the chiropractic lifestyle encompasses.

My chiropractic story: I grew up with chiropractic in my family, so I was introduced to the fact that the body is amazing self healing and self regulating organism from a very young age. As my knowledge about health and wellness grew, I became critical of common treatments for ill health. Growing up with significant sinus, allergy and ear challenges, I realized that many of the surgeries, shots and medicines that I had never 'cured' me or addressed what was really causing my aliments. Throughout college and chiropractic school, I read and conducted research to truly understand wellness in order quench my desire to understand the 'cause' of a 'lack of health'. Through this journey I realized that we must constantly evaluate our decisions with respect to our bodies, our nutrition and our thoughts. We must also look to address anything in our lives that takes our body away from homeostasis or perfect balance, because this is the true cause of ill health. I look forward to helping the O'Fallon community return to balance and wellness.

My Chiropractic Story : When I was thirteen years old my mother was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. At the same time she was running a business and injured herself one day at work. MRI revealed a severe disc herniation in the low back. She would have been a surgical candidate had she not been undergoing chemotherapy. Her only option was rest. Being a full time mother, wife, and business manager, this was not an option. What happened next changed my family's life forever. A family friend took my mom to the chiropractor. Within a week she was able to walk and function almost pain free. It was then she decided that I had to go to the chiropractor too. Even though I did not have any symptoms, she insisted that I go for prevention. I am happy to say that prevention pays. Not only have I not had to suffer with pain, but digestive problems that I had since childhood went away. Since that day my dream has been to touch as many people's lives as possible being a chiropractor.
